The Band
Cynical Z started as an idea during the Pandemic. Kimmi thought when things are normal again, people will come back out to see live music. She envisioned a band that not only enjoyed playing but one that entertained a crowd into having a great time. That's when Kimmi started the quest for musicians.

Kimmi Zadroga
Lead Vocals
Kimmi Zadroga started singing at the age of 9 with the help of her Nanna, learning her trademark vocal style by mimicking Elvis records. She has been in original and cover bands since she was 16 years old. Rocking out from the East coast to West coast and back again in many bands over the years. She has opened for major acts such as Quiet Riot, Joan Jett, Jimmy Van Zant, Artimus Pyle, and Fred Norris. Also performing at Warped Tour and Lallapalooza. Her high energy performances are sometimes compared to Jim Morrison and Janis Joplin.
In 2019, she formed this Fun Energy Party Band with the help of Joe Mal on bass; However, Joe made the decision to leave the band to pursue his passion with his original project, Monte Carlo.
Nick Lower
Bassist
Nick has been playing bass since he was 12 years old, inspired by his dad to pick up an instrument and hit the stage. He comes from a long line of musical family members, his music background is extensive. Dad being a big part of that and being in local bands. He learned from a early age music was his passion.
A night at Anderson Hall with the Woodland String Band. A one of a kind encounter brought Nick into the mix with Cynical Z. The fit was instant, it was like they all played together for years..
Nick having more than 20 years of experience, he brings a hard-hitting, groove-driven style, relentless energy, and solid rhythm to every performance. Providing the foundation that drives the band's sound forward.
Jay Campbell
Guitar / Vocals
Jay came into the mix in Sept 2022 when we revamped the song list to a more versatile one.Like Kimmi wanted from day one. He brings diversity and has just the right stage presence the band was searching for in a guitarist. Jay comes from a musical family. He started playing guitar at 16 years old and hasn’t put it down since. Soon after, he got into singing and playing bass (and even a little bit of drums). It’s fair to say he’s a bit of a music junkie. He’s been in Original and Cover bands WiRTH, The Approach, Dashboard Lemon, and New Horizon.
Performing from New York to Virginia and as far out as Ohio. His bands have opened for King Norris ( Fred Norris's band from Howard Stern show), Peter Tork of the Monkees, and has even shared the stage with Dennis Rodman of NBA Fame.
Jay’s multi talented perspective was just what the band needed to move forward to the next level.
Greg Throop
Drummer
Greg is a refreshing player that fit right into place, like he was playing with the band for years.
He has been playing for 45+ yrs. Playing professionally for many years in Atlantic City- Caesars, Bally's, Harrah's, Showboat, Also had multi-year engagement at Delaware Park Casino and Rivers Casino.
Also legendar Jersey shore spots like Penalty Box, Ocean Drive, Mothers, The Mediterranean Club, The LaCosta etc.
Playing in many local bands such as Philly Rock and Soul, The Mark Stinger Band, Sweet Revenge, The AJ Slick band, Grand Illusion, Muggles, The Tramps, just to name a few..Finally a perfect fit with Cynical Z.
He fell perfectly into place With his dynamics and perfect timing. He drives this band forward to the next chapter..
